Union Process Expands Facility to Expand Services
Akron, OH. . .Union Process, Inc., a full-service manufacturer of size reduction and dispersing equipment for industrial applications, has completed a 6,000 sq. ft. expansion of its plant to accommodate the growth of its toll milling operation.
President Arno Szegvari explained, "Over the recent years, we have seen our growth in the service arena expanding at a rapid rate. Many of our customers are choosing to have us grind their material for them in our pilot plant rather than purchasing a machine right out of the gate. We have found that a good number of our customers ultimately purchase a mill from us once they see the desired result in our plant."
Toll milling is the process of a manufacturer grinding material for the customer in the manufacturer's plant. This may be done for a number of reasons. The customer may want to delay the cost of purchasing capital equipment but still requires material milling for their application. The customer may simply not have the plant space to accommodate new equipment. Finally, the customer may have no interest in manufacturing and would like to rely on the milling expertise of Union Process to produce material for them. The growth in this area of toll milling necessitated the expansion of the Union Process toll milling facility.
"Our mission is to be a solution provider for our customers' grinding needs," explained Emery Li, Vice President of Sales. "Whether it's selling new equipment, refurbishing equipment, selling grinding media, offering lab testing services, or providing toll processing services, Union Process offers solutions for all their customers' grinding and dispersing application requirements. To this end, we remain focused on being proactive to the changing economy and responsive to our customers' needs."
